Designing Custom Sheets in the Kiln!

4-Week Glass Fusing Class

This 4-week, hands on workshop, meets once a week and is designed to guide you through creating your own one-of-a-kind kiln formed vessel. Glass cutting experience is required. The Kiln Try-iT! class is an excellent introduction to this beggining / intermediate class.

Class Dates and Times:

• Week 1: Thursday, April 10 | 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
• Week 2: Thursday, April 17 | 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
• Week 3: Thursday, April 24 | 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
• Week 4: Thursday, May 1 | 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM

What to Expect:

Over four weeks, dive into the vibrant world of glass! Students will strengthen their technical firing skills and increase their design arsenal to level up their fused glass skills. Through the use of frits, powders, stringers and various accessory glasses, students will learn how to produce custom sheets and components that will be cut and reassembled into a slumped vessel. Included in this class is how to approach striking and reactive colors in the kiln.

• Kiln firings and mold rentals are included in the class price
• Coldworking Tools

Student Supplies:

• Glass purchase required
• Students will be expected to have tools (can be purchased in the studio if needed)
• A list of needed supplies will be provided upon enrollment
