Art in the Shop: Amanda B. Amazing Daughter!

Hot out the studio this week is this stunning 8' x 65' sidelight Malcom created as a commissioned present to her father.

WELCOME OUR NEW INTERN, DEZ!

We are thrilled to add a new member to our team! Dez is a South Minneapolis based mixed media artist who graduated with their BFA from the University of Minnesota in the spring of 2021. They enjoy painting, printmaking, and community art and are thrilled to dive into all the magic that is glass. Be sure to say hello next time you're in the shop.

Angela Jarman is an artist with over 20 years experience in glass.

Angela says about her work, "All the ideas for my work originate from a lifelong interest I have in biology and the natural world. I look to all sources for inspiration – animal, vegetable and mineral; but the one common theme that unites all my thinking has at its core ideas to do with growth and reproduction, duplication, decay and transformation."

Angela studied at the Royal College of Art receiving her Master’s degree in 2001. She exhibits both in the UK and internationally and has work held in public and private collections worldwide. In 2003 she was shortlisted for the Jerwood Applied Arts Prize, and in 2008 won the Established Artist Prize International Glass Context.

Icicle & Skier Ornament Make-iT! Workshop

Participants must have taken a Try-iT! class or have other previous torch work experience in order to register for this class.


This fun class focuses on heat and flame control. Technically we are making seals, but practically we will be creating Icicles and ski figures, then adding loops to the pieces to create one-of-a-kind ornaments. A perfect way to warm up and create beautiful hand-made gifts! Student can expect to finish 2-3 glass ornaments in this class.

Time: 2pm-5pm (Each Session)
