Art in the Shop: The Family Partnership Trivets
The patron gifts for the Family Partnership are finished up! This project was a collaboration with Matt Sletten of BWBR Architects, who did the design, and Mark Knierim of Create Laser Arts who did laser cutting work. Potekglass was asked to create Kasota stone concrete cast molds reminiscent of the facade of Family Partnerships new construction.

Finished trivets
This 200 piece project was finished at its 30 day deadline! The pattern on these concrete trivets are reflective of the patterned concrete on Family Partnership's new building!
Artist in the World: Angela Two Stars
I feel fortunate that I was able to participate in the healing ceremony marked by 'Okciyapi'.
Angela Two Stars has gifted love itself to the city of Minneapolis when we need it most. Testimonies of struggle, humor and brilliance embodied in this work are strong medicine, proof in the power of people working hard to care for one another.
Her sculpture was unveiled October 7th. 'Okciyapi' is a labyrinth structure with concentric rings, and a water feature in the middle. The sculpture name, 'Okciyapi', roughly translated means "help each other", was inspired by Two Stars' grandfather.

Retail in the Shop: Zen Path Beads
Zen Path Beads are a series of beads that can now be found on the Potekglass website.
Craftsmanship develops from focused attention on materials. With hot glass, how it moves, breaks and heals itself crate a quality of mark that is left in the final object.
In “Zen Path” Beads are created out of a practiced meditation. Few tools are used so focus is on the melt itself. A river of silver floats in a molten sea of deep red. These are the results of that meditation.
