Pangea: a Fusion of Macro and Micro Worlds
Crafted by Malcolm Potek in 2020 amidst the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, this breathtaking fused glass piece was commissioned for Nancy Berg's esteemed law firm. Evoking a mesmerizing interplay between macro and micro perspectives, the artwork serves as a visual symphony, mirroring both the grandeur of continental shifts and the intricate dynamics within cellular structures.
The fusion of vibrant reds, deep blues, and subtle hints of yellow imbues the piece with a dynamic energy, reminiscent of the ever-changing landscapes of our planet and vitality within living organisms. Metal paneling gracefully traces the contours of glasses at the center, paying homage to the distinctive style of the client.
Following the dissolution of Berg's law firm, this stunning piece has returned to its birthplace in the studio. Visitors are warmly invited to experience it firsthand!
